Abstract Analytic solutions are derived for a convecting atmosphere with mean ascent using zero-buoyancy bulk-plume approximation moist convection. It has been suggested that such should serve as model the relationship between humidity, instability, and precipitation in tropics, but it is shown here this interpretation incompatible observed weak temperature gradient (WTG). Instead, can be used to understand atmospheric state averaged over all tropical regions. Using analytic way, they predict changes function of size patch convectively aggregated state.
